The first meeting in September will present a line-up of all the city office candidates; including those for city council seats, City Treasurer and City Clerk. They will be asked to describe how they are environmentally involved and if elected, will promote and protect open space.

Our popular in-person dinner meetings that everyone remembers and misses are coming back this Fall although with some new features. Important features they will still have are the chance to network with a community of environmentally concerned neighbors and hearing from speakers that will address us about important issues pertaining to expanding and protecting open space.

The dinner meetings will be held at the Bridge Hall meeting center of the Neighborhood Congregational Church at 340 St. Anns Drive, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. Doors will open at 5:30 PM,  with socializing until 6:15 PM, dinner from 6:15-7:00 PM and speakers will start at 7:00 PM to finish by 8:00 PM. Coffee and dessert during the speaker part will be available.  Dinners will be available for purchase but not mandatory although we will ask for a modest charge to cover expenses for the venue and attendees must RSVP so we have enough seating and refreshments available.

As in the past, current LCC members can purchase dinner for a lower fee than non-members, so if your membership is not current for 2024, please consider renewing your membership for the same reasonable fee of $25 by clicking on the website link here. Memberships offset our organization’s ongoing expenses.

 LCC is a 501c4 organization and does not endorse candidates but does get involved with environmentally important issues and legislation concerning Laguna Canyon, open space and related concerns. 

At this meeting, the new LCC Board of Directors will also be introduced. Other dates to put on your calendar for our future in person dinner meetings will be these Mondays: October 7th, November 4th, and December 2nd, 2024.
